DOES GOD DEMAND HOLINESS?
The Bible is clear throughout that we are to live holy lives, clean and blameless before Him. Here are a few such commands.
2 Peter 3:11 -- Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved [the earth], what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
(He answers that question in verse 14!)
1 Peter 1:15-16
15: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16: Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1 Thessalonians 4:3-7
3: For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
4: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
5: Not in the lust of concupiscence (evil desires), even as the Gentiles which know not God:
6: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
7: For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
It doesn't get any clearer than this, brothers and sisters! He has called us unto HOLINESS! We are to be HOLY, and if you're living within the description of Revelation 21:8 or 1 Corinthians 6:9,10, you are NOT HOLY.
